the fish thread

Anyone got fish? I just recently scored a sweet Plecostomus. here he is. I'm gonna feed him a shit load of blood worms and he'll probably grow quite a bit. then find himself in a much bigger tank. pretty cool.

along with my Cory catfish. I think he's the reason he's the reason my Neon's are dissappearing. but he's cool, none-the-less.

actually, this pleco will eat them. I thought it was weird too, but he will eat the hell out of blood worms.

funny about the skull. I had actually picked up another tank at a garage sale for like $1 and that was in it. Totally avoided wal-mart! LOL Thumbs Up

Whiskey on the rocks, house lights off, aquarium lights on, music on....awesome way to chill. Thumbs Up

I love fish ponds. It fascinates me how they are able live under the ice all the winter long.

we have a small aquarium too, nothing like yours broken condiment (aweseom fish btw), but i love just watching the serenity that goes along with fish watching. i love the schooling Neons.

we've had our pond for about ten years now with many of the original fish that we bought from the local pet shop as "feeder fish". they were like an inch long at that time...now you can see, they are huge, hungry mofos.
i hand feed them at times. i swear, they are my pets. i have names for some of them. lol

one winter the ice was a foot thick. i melted a hole thru the ice with pots of boiling water sitting on it. it is amazing how they survived...but Koi don't last thru our winters. they're pretty, but you know they are gonna die come Jan/Feb

early spring w/the mating season is a frenzy. it's hysterical to see water splashing and the noise they generate.

i love my fish:D
here's another view:
