Creed - Full Circle

I know not everyone is crazy about Creed. I know many here like Alter Bridge better. I've been listening to Full Circle for about a week now, and I think it is Creed's best CD since the first. It's much heavier than there last few CDs, and sounds much like Alter Bridge with Scott Stapp singing.

Fine return CD IMO. Thumbs Up

Good record with some great writing and riffs. You certainly get a bit of everything in this album. A thousand faces is my favorite song at the moment off the record.

'Creed Sucks' used to be a favorite T-shirt of mine, I'm hearing that's not the deal anymore though and they've reinvented themselves. Surprised at some of Tremonti's chops.

I got burned out on them when they first came out. Our 2 rock stations here played the shit out of the same songs to the point that when I tried to listen to them I couldn't stomache it. I guess for that reason I never gave Alter Bridge a chance either. I like the song they do for WWE wrestler Edge though so I may give it all a listen sometime.

He probably plays more and practices more then most anybody out there. He is working very hard and always wanting to get better, learn, grow. He surrounds himself with good players and isn't afraid to learn from them and practice. I have a lot of respect for his work ethic.

Stations do that. It got so bad years ago that listeners were calling in and requesting Hootie-free days, even though we love our homeboys.
A local radio DJ busted my ass cuz I was using so much analog equipment instead of digital. I replied: says the DJ that thinks Nickelback and Theory of a Deadman are the only 2 bands people want to hear.

oh shit! HOOTIE!!!! ha ha ha hahaaa

I feel the same way about Mark Tremonti actually, he did what the band called for and it wasn't much more than a glorified Nickelback with different subject matter. He was a totally different player in A-Bridge Thumbs Up

The vids I have seen of him riffing around and running through the positions and scale shapes he uses are pretty damn attention-getting man. It's like "wait wait wait, this dude never did any of that in Creed!" Makes me wonder why he kept it reeled-in, guessing it was typical record company BS and simplistic hit song composition that won out?

Tremonti always cited Metallica as an influence, Hetfield especially. I'd have to say that an approach he used to his playing with the original Creed.

I think the record label is so desperate to get back Creed, that they gave them more freedom to do what they wanted with this album.

After watching my favorite band of all time, King's X, get slowly ruined over the years by record companies I'm almost numb to the whole thing man Shakes Head

At this point I'm just keeping an ear to the ground for good stuff.
