BLS  : BLS CAMP HAS BLS RELATED FACEBOOK PAGES DELETED

BLS
BLS
Posted on Thursday, April 08 @ 09:19:52 EDT by skulldragon

Fans awoke on Monday morning on April 5th baffled and bewildered as to why their BLS related Facebook page was deleted, including this webmasters page that did not go against the Facebook Terms of Service. According to the official BLS Facebook page: "All unofficial Zakk/BLS groups/profiles and pages will be deleted by Facebook in the next week. Please spread the word and jump on board!"

Many fans have left comments all over the net wondering why their page was deleted that helps promote the band. "I can see deleting the fake profiles, but not the pages that help spread the word. Fans spend a lot of hard time and work on those pages to actually help promote the band, and for the band to just turn their heads on the fans like that is pretty insulting." said one fan. "It's a shame that this kind of shit is happening so close to the album being released. The last thing the band needs is to alienate the hardcore fans." said another fan.

This is similar to the incident in the early 2000's when Metallica alienated their fans and had fan-sites deleted and taken down. BLS is no where near the same caliber of Metallica, so this type of action could possibly turn out to be detrimental to the band.

As of now, if you search facebook there are still over 230 fake Zakk Wylde profiles and over 20 fake Zakk Wylde groups. Chapter pages still exist even though they are an unofficial page as well. With numbers still that high and only select pages being deleted, one would be inclined to think that only certain peoples pages were targeted for deletion.
